This issue presents interdisciplinary research spanning archaeology, art history, textual studies, and heritage practice across the ancient Near East. Articles address glyptic representations of Tyche in Asia Minor, new ceramic evidence for the Halaf period in western Iran, and social perspectives on motherhood in Presargonic Ĝirsu. Several contributions focus on the Koya/Koisanjaq region of Iraq, combining archaeological survey, long-term chronology, oral history, and memory studies to explore borderland dynamics from prehistory to the Parthian period. The volume also offers a reassessment of the so-called ‘Presentation Scene’ through textual evidence and the theory of emotions, highlighting innovative methodological approaches to ancient imagery and experience.
