الملخص

في حين أن موقع بات، عمان، المدرج على قائمة اليونسكو للتراث العالمي، مشهور بأنه عبارة عن مستوطنة واحة كبيرة جدا ومحفوظة جيدا من العصر البرونزي المبكر، فإن المشهد الأثري للموقع يمتد إلى ما هو أبعد من الواحة، يهدف مشروع بات الأثري إلى فهم أفضل للنشاط الثقافية المعقد في فترة أم النار (حوالي ۲۷۰۰-۲۰۰۰ قبل الميلاد)، والتفاعلات بين الإنسان والبيئة التي تم إثباتها في الموقع ومحيطه في وادي الهجر. تقدم هذه الورقة نتائج الحفريات والتفسيرات الأولية الموسم الشتاء الميداني ۲۰۲۲-۲۰۲۲ لمشروع بات الأثري، والذي استهدف ثلاث مناطق يشتبه في أنها استيطان في فترة أم النار في منطقة بات ضمن دائرة نصف قطرها ١٠ كم من الواحة العملية أن، ومستوطنة الخطم ورخة المدرة من خلال اختيار النظر إلى ما هو أبعد من مركز الواحة في الموقع وفحص الاستيطان القديم في ثلاث مناطق جغرافية متميزة داخل مشهد بات الأكبر، يلقي هذا البحث الضوء على العمليات الثقافية المتنوعة، والاستراتيجيات الاجتماعية والبيئية التي مارسها سكان المنطقة في فترة أم النار.
