Abstract

This paper will describe some flint artifacts found in the Wadi Rum area of, southern Jordan, and use the assemblage as a point of departure to review human developments in the northern Arabian desert regions at the end of the Pleistocene - a period when the switch from hunting and gathering to food production is held to have begun in the adjacent areas of the Near East.
